The mission of the Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club is to enhance the quality of life for all young people, with special emphasis on those who need help the most between ages 8-18.

Kips Bay is part of a nationwide movement of community-based, autonomous Club organizations that comprise the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. They help youth, ages 6-18 become successful, responsible citizens and leaders. More than 10,000 children a year come to Kips Bay to be inspired, mentored, tutored, fed and loved.

Responding to community needs, the services provided by Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club at the Lucile Palmaro Clubhouse in the Bronx and ten outreach locations are based on the principles of behavioral guidance and are intended to promote the general health, educational advancement, character development and leadership potential of its members. The organization's responsibility is to provide these 6 to 18 year old boys and girls with the programs and activities that instill a sense of competence, a sense of belonging, and a sense of power and influence.
